A Bunch Of Flowers

Art workshops in the Garden at Field Farm with Artists Jacs Collins & Susie Hunt

AUGUST 31st, 1st and 2nd  SEPTEMBER 1ST  2018

Workshop Format

Try Drawing, Painting, Collage or Mono-Print.   No skills or experience required just come into the garden with us and get inspired by  the wonderful variety of herbs and flowers growing in this beautiful place.

“Floral Forms”

This is principally a drawing and painting workshop. We will be looking very carefully and comparing, simplifying or stylising the various shapes of stems leaves, petals and seed heads so that you can find your own creative response.

A series of small sketches can be bound into a simple book as a record of your day or you can transfer and enlarge on your observations to create a single composition.

“Pattern and Repeat”

Experiments with various painting, mark making and mono-print techniques. New ways to express your flowery inspiration.

“Drawn to Collage”

We will work with some materials and techniques explored in previous two workshops- (but materials can also be supplied for anyone coming to this workshop only) to create lively mixed media collage artwork inspired by plants and flowers in the garden.

About The Workshop Location

The garden is situated near Tenbury Wells in Worcestershire, at the centre of a busy plant nursery called the Cottage Herbery- this business is not usually open to the public but owner Kim Hurst has created this beautiful garden in and out of and scrambling up and over a group of carefully renovated farm buildings and this year decided to share her inspiration with anyone with a similar enthusiasm and love for all things flowery!
